Rihanna a toujours été passionnée par la musique et elle écoute de grandes artistes comme Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys ou encore Beyoncé Knowles. Elle dit aussi avor été berçé depuis sa tendre enfance par la musique des Caraïbes. Elle mène une vie simple et paisible sur l'île de Barbades avec sa famille quand en 2004, le producteur Evan Rogers, venu passer des vacances sur l'île rencontre Rihanna et est tout de suite séduit par ses talents musicaux. Il décide alors d'emmener Rihanna avec lui à New York pour enregistrer une maquette de 12 chanson.
Plus tard, c'est le rappeur Jay-Z, qui après une première écoute de son album est complètement séduit (perso: tu m'étonnes!!!) par ses talents et signe un contrat avec Rihanna sous le label Def Jam qu'il dirige. C'est alors que le single qui va l'a révélé "POn de Replay" sort sur les ondes et c'est le succès total!!!!! On attend encore plus de musique!!!!!!
